Title: My electric windows, mirrors and central locking has stopped working!!
Post by: Womble on 01 December 2012, 14:11
Hi,

I was hoping that some one may know what to do.  My golf's central locking, electric windows, sunroof and mirrors have stopped working all together.  I took my car to the local garage who tried to read the car's computer but had no luck.  I then took the car to VW to detect the problem, they could not give me a solid answer and wanted to do further investigations, as you can understand they wanted a lot of money to do this!!! I was wondering if anyone has experienced this type of problem before and if so what did you do.  Cheers

Try replacing Fuse 14 in the fuse box on the drivers side of the dashboard

is there a relay controlling all this???

Seems too simple to be a fuse, especially if its been to a garage or 2. Only a guess but hope Rhyso is right.

if not the fuse i would say its the central convenience module under the steering wheel you have to take the trim off
