Hi,
I was hoping that some one may know what to do. My golf's central locking, electric windows, sunroof and mirrors have stopped working all together. I took my car to the local garage who tried to read the car's computer but had no luck. I then took the car to VW to detect the problem, they could not give me a solid answer and wanted to do further investigations, as you can understand they wanted a lot of money to do this!!! I was wondering if anyone has experienced this type of problem before and if so what did you do. Cheers

Try replacing Fuse 14 in the fuse box on the drivers side of the dashboard
-
Thaks for that I will give it a go and cross fingers
-
is there a relay controlling all this???
Seems too simple to be a fuse, especially if its been to a garage or 2. Only a guess but hope Rhyso is right.

central convenience module may be gone? is that right anyone?

Outside chance but a fuse is much cheaper to try first

I had the same problem , central locking , electric windows , courtesy light and interior boot light weren't working , replaced the 10 amp fuse N0. 14 and all back to normal , many many thanks :)

if not the fuse i would say its the central convenience module under the steering wheel you have to take the trim off
