put mine in the drivers air vent . ran black wire to body for earth ,yellow to empty slot in the fuse board so it works with the ignition ,then ran the boost pipe through the bulkhead and plummed into the fuel pressure regulator with a t piece that should do it

Some top advice on here today

Diesels dont have what you have on your sh!tty petrol engines

Most tap into the EGR to intercooler pipe

Heres where I had mine fitted

http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=89814.70

I had an EGR delete pipe which had the take off for a boost gauge fitted to it

YOU dont.  Thats for petrol boost gauges

Read my post above  :nerd:

Ah good man glad i asked now. Where is the pipe you plumber yours into? I've had a quick look before for the intercooler but couldn't find it. What engine have you got? Mines the 110 pre pd will it be in the same place?

Intercooler is under the drivers side headlamp

Find the big black pipe on the side of the engine. It starts at the back and works its way towards you. Look at my project thread and see where I replaced it for a blue item

Mine was the 130PD but the pipework layout is broadly the same

Right. Assuming the big black pipe im looking at is the right one (comes over the top of the engine to the top of the intercooler) i still cant find the pipe to plumb into. I cant find anything that resembles your picture. Probably me looking with my eyes shut lol. Could you go into abit more detail if possible. Thank you

That is the pipe you plumb into

I had an EGR delete pipe with the takeoff built in.  You will have to drill and plumb into that big black pipe yourself

That help??

How did you keep it air tight?

How did you keep it air tight?

Thats the challenge

You buy dedicated take offs which you insert into the pipe. They should come with a sealing ring  :undecided:  equally do not make the hole too big; you should have to force the take off in so as to keep it as air tight as possible

Other option is to do what I did and buy an EGR delete pipe which comes with the take off plumbed in

ThanKs for all the advice its been a big help. Ive ran the vacuum hose through the bulk head and wired it into the head light switch im just waiting on abit of info on plumbing it into the pipework. I rang the old man up who deals in hydraulics and hes gonna see what i can do to keep it air tight. One more question just to make sure im on the same wave length as you if i put the vacuum hose into the elbow piece before the egr that would work is that right?
