Hi All,
I recently bought a MK1 1.8 GTI Cab.
Car runs fine but being a GTi (injection), I thought it should start fairly quick at any time.
Car seems to take time to start early morning. Also if car hasnt been driven for several hours..... Have to get the starter turned for several seconds before the car starts......
Any ideas why is this the case?

could be the injectors leaking and fouling up the plugs?

check you have fuel pump noise on ignition if not change the fuel pump relay number 62 with brown bottom if you have a 62 with a white bottom its from a mk2
