Post by: smithy7861 on 27 November 2012, 11:46
Hi Guys

Im looking for a little help with this one, I Recently purchased a 02 Golf Gti 2.0 8v , I Love the car, but have noticed on my initial start in the morning or when I have not stated the car for a number of hours it has a dead spot on turning for a moment then it fires up, but seems to be fine and start up no problem anytime after that, until ive left it for a few hours or the next morning, im baffled, checked leads of the battery, fuel pump is turning when I put my key into ignition, any suggestions???

Thanks Guys

sorry lol i was taking the p!ss, the 2.0l are a bit grumpy on oil so you'll find that short journeys and cold starts in winter will cause a few issues with gunk, nothing to really worry abou, just top up with a desent oil when needs be
