Title: mk4 convenience module

i think i got down to the problem with my door locks on my car. i think it the convenience module which controls them and the electric windows. so i brought a module of ebay with the same number but i was wondering when i fit it on at weekend do i just plug it in or do  i have to recode the keys

it didnt work plugged it in but wouldnt disarm the alarm do u need too re sync the keys with the new box

yeah you need to recode the remote fobs to the new ccm. 30 second task with vagcom. i'm not sure if any of the other voodoo "hold key in the lock press the button do a dance.." methods work when its a new ccm

can you not recode them with just the two keys trick then as i aint got my vagcom working yet as i cant seem to get ports showing on my comp with my lead
