Title: r32 front brake conversion
Post by: beppe2672 on 26 November 2012, 20:12
Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out what I need to get in order to fit a set of r32 front brakes to my mk4 gti. Am I right in thinking I just need the r32 carriers and discs then a set of r32 front pads?

and big enough wheels to fit them.

not 100 sure but i think the flexi hoses are different, but good excuse to go for braided lines

its sitting on a set of 18" audi tt wheels at the moment, so wheel size shouldn't be a problem, just need to know if I need the calipers and lines along with the rest of the stuff.

Yes you will need the calliper. Bigger and better with 2 pot goodness. They are considerably heavier mind you...

I wouldn't bother with the r32 brakes, really really heavy and not that much better tbh.
Either just go 312 or lcr brembo or big brake kit

For day to day use a set of 312mm's will be fine.
