The car was spotted at VWs testing grounds in South Africa.

I'd hang on to your spacers when you order one, looks a bit narrow at the back? ???

That looks smart and although we know it’s got the Golf look it’s got a more solid modern look. In the first and second picture the A pillar looks longer than the current Golf also the windows at the side seem a bit shorter in hight ?. The front end also has a more slopping bonnet than the current Golf. Can see where the salesman is coming from when he say’s you will see a much sharper modern looking Golf when you see it in the skin standing next to it.
Edit to add - Anyone else think stone chipping will be a problem with that slopping bonnet

Nothing new compared to the Mk6 then!! Mine looked as if it had been shot blasted at the front. Never had a car like it for stone chips. Extremely poor.

Nice mk6.5
5.75 surely?

Front of the car looks squashed and rounder and the rear fatter...not liking this angle I have to say! It doesn't help with those wheels I guess
-
Yeah see what you mean the narrow windows do make the @rse end look fat.
-
The MK7 looks 'softer'.
When the MK6 came out initially I didn't like the shape but it grew on me and now I think my MK5 GTI is rounder and softer...because it is!
I really like the the Edition 35 in Candy White or Tornado Red with the black wing mirrors and Glendales...the ultimate Marmite wheels in the VW range it seems
