So got a second hand mohair from a 3.5 to fit on my 3. Fitted nice, adjusted it so it was tight on the B-pillars and the along the top of the windscreen, adjusted the windows so they were aligned to the roof and the seals look to be adjusted correctly. You'd think nice new looking mohair, should be job done? NO. F**king roof might as well be down :D
Had some bad rain over the last couple days, hasn't stopped and the car is a swimming pool. It looks to be mainly leaking from the top of the B-pillar (yes where the roof seals on TIGHT) and where the roof seals join. However, the roof seals appear to be adjusted correctly. They are touching but not "squished" against each other. Also good to note that under the mohair its bone dry, so I know its the seals and/or the adjustment.
So I got rear footwell's filled, soaking wet seat belts, wet rear bench. Its ridiculous! I think I may have adjusted it wrong???
I'm going to compare my old roof to the new one, maybe swap the seals over as the old roof didn't leak from there.
Anyone shed some light or have experience with adjusting Cabrio roof's?
