Rightbthen i wanna buy my 2 eldest kids a tablet for christmas
They can use my mrs i phone and i pad and use my galaxy s3 pretty much without any problems but i was looking at a innotab 2 witch is a childrens version but it looks so limited
Could anyone recomend it or another like it id say i trust them with the i pad but just cant warrent spending that much

how old are they? if they can play with an ipad etc then are they not going to think the innotab is a bit shyte, perhaps look at galaxy tabs etc if the ipad is too expensive

A tablet for a four year old?
How about something that teaches them and engages their brain?

Yeah i sit ith them on the i pad and do spelling games and they learn to write and stuff butbi want a decent app thatbteaches them

Not criticising; I have a 4 yr old too and she's sometimes allowed to play games on the my wife's iPad and is happy navigating the pages of apps, etc. BUT, we've been told by her nursery teacher that she's not upto speed with using a real computer with mouse and keyboard because she's too used to using a touchscreen iPad.
While it's not a major problem, most schools can't afford iPads/tablets for the pupils, so kids need to know how to use a mouse and keyboard and kids having full time access to their own tablet at home is only going to hamper their developing skills with a proper computer.
Kids also need to learn to write with a pen properly not with a finger.
Whatever you get, you need to make sure you can put parental controls on internet access and apps.
As for a tablet, the 7inch Galaxy Tab looks good, but the Kindle Fire is also excellent value and you can pick one up in Tesco.
That said, I think there are probably better apps for kids available on the iPad than for Android.

I was going to get my kids a tablet (probably the Nexus 7) but decided they should be doing things that kids should be doing, rather than playing on tablets distancing their selves from kid like activities. I've got a bunch of learning apps on my various devices I go through with them and let them play games for a short while every other day.

Thats not a bad shout to be honest and dont get me wrong im not gonna stick my kids in frontb apc everytime i get in from work they see me using elsa and wireing diagrams and say its my work and i get them doing numbers and colours from diagrams this just gets em off my back while me or the mrs is cooking lol
Got a few good learning apps on my s3 but its just too small and fiddly for em both my 4 year olds are going on 10 haha so they act i cant complain both my girls are brainy for there age

look on amazon for a momo8 ips. i got one for my lass to use, only gripe is wifi doesnt work unless im in the same room as the router, but oter than that its brilliant, cheap too
