Are you saying heat up the plastic fasteners or am i missing something here?

Pahaha - ignore not, basically you need to prise the fookers out. The chances are youll knacker them and they won'tssecure properly on refitting so id just get some new ones from ebay or main dealers for about a fiver a set.

No I would say they are a ball ache and one of a number of things over the years that have made me question the sanity of the VW designer
I've got to the point that I just get some pliers and wrench them out now. Doesn't leave the fastners in a great state but saves a lot of cuts and swearing. As someone said, can always replace them as cheap

Yeah they sure are little b!tches to get out,i bent the metal tabs they fix into trying to ripp them out,got new ones now from gti line on ebay, say they are genuine  so will be a b!tch to remove again
