just wondering if anyone new what the height of a mk3 golf is? i have lowered mine on coilovers so dont know the exact drop, but for insurance purposes i need to know the drop of mine in comparison.. cheers :)

40mm

Depends what car it was to start with as the GTI's & VR6's were fitted with Plus suspension which was 20mm lower than the base model Golfs.

Just tell insurance 40mm :lipsrsealed:

cheers for that but not what im after. i have already lowered mine and happy with the height, but i just wanted some measurements of the height of a standard mk3 gti so i can measure mine and see the difference to inform my insurance company as they asked me how much i had lowered the car when i declared the mod..

just tell em 40mm... it makes no odds.

Ask them if they want the amount in Miles or Kilometers...
If its on coilovers then tell them 40mm. I think mine is about 60-70mm, but never found out the standard height, its just what people have said! As its adjustable suspension it wont make any odds if its more than 40 kilometers...
