Hi am thinking of buying a full Jetex exhaust system. What are your opinions on adding a sports cat and
sports manifold to it??
-
Save your money.
On a standard GTI 16v you will see no gains from either, it'll fail it's MOT with no Cat, and with standard engine mounts you'll crack the manifold in time.
It's not worth the money or effort on an otherwise standard or mildly modified engine.

But jetex system worth it hey?

Yes, really good systems

Indeed.
But you still won't see a gain in power!

Good but noisy, but if that what you want.....
If you want quieter then go for Magnex

I have tried many Jetex systems and they are relly quite, so not sure how you can say they are noisy.

By listening with my own ears!

I thought you lost your hearing as you got older, not gained noise sensitivity?

Well I have had 3 Jetex systems and found them to be no noisier than standard :undecided:
-
I assume that only one of those 3 were on a Mk3 Golf Gti 16v.
So you have the experience of one.
I have listened to and compared them to mine at least 5 Jetex
So on that score I outweigh you 5 to 1 :smug:

I agree. My vr6 was very quite! A cat and 3 silencers will not be loud
