Title: Heated Seats
Post by: CM690 on 12 November 2012, 12:47
My mk4 doesn't have the winter pack but it is an SE model, which I believe was the top end for non-GTI spec. It has the grey valour front seats so I was wondering if VW put heated seats in, but not the loom so they couldn't be used?

Anyone have any knowledge on this?

I don't think any fabric seats will have heating. Possible fire risk?

If they did do what you suggested then everyone would be out buying the looms to make it work...

If your car didn't have heated seats from factory you'll need the loom

The cloth seats that were in my GT TDI (same sports seats as GTI) were heated seats (specified as one of the options from new, can dig original bill of sale from VW but it has the winter pack) so when I fitted my leather recaro's it was plug n play
