Title: problems with main beam.
Post by: antogoof on 09 November 2012, 22:12
right my lights have a problem, ive only got sidelights and no main beams.

i had this prob before when i got the car and i changed a few fuses and it was sorted, then one night

driving on a country road with high beams on something went pop and now i only have sidelights?

all fuses are ok so im thinking it might be a blown relay? anyone point me in the right direction?

i have fogs and all other lights are ok, i can flash the lights and they work ok so its not something stupid like bulbs.

id be grateful of some help cause im starting a 2-10 shift on monday and i cant see f**k all with sidelights and front fogs on, and i dont think plod will like it either!

Could be - but I think our cars are at an age where the some of the wiring joints are showing their age...

Mine's been playing up too - So have just fitted an uprated headlight loom I bought a couple of years ago.

you didnt put uprated bulbs in did you? it'll fry the std wiring anything above std 60/55w bulbs. to higher wattage bulbs you need an uprated loom
