Post by: Ralphy_GTI on 08 November 2012, 02:09
Im seeing alot of these "Performance chip tuning Box" items on ebay claiming to increase the BHP and Torque for Mk4 1.9 TDI's.. Has anybody tried these to see if they work??

I wouldnt place money on it to be honest, and for the price your better to save another month then go get a Re-map by R-tech? :)

Looks like one of those resistor type things that were being sold a while ago, All it did was make the car run rich.
Complete junk imo and not worth risking your engine, Far better off placing your car in trusted hands of people like R-tech

£42 for a less than 5p resistor and 2 plugs.

Save the money and go to r-tech,  far better gains.  And not tricking ECU into thinking its colder outside

What sort of results could you gain on a 1.9 tdi mk4 golf with a re-map from R-tech?

Alot smoother rev range, bit more power output and overall a tastier experience, it will still put a smile on your face tbh
