Title: boost valve

had a old boost valve laying about so decided to put it on car gose like a rocket got it running just under 1 bar ,wat damage can this do to my engine ?? not really worried abot turbo damage as its a k03 and some time soon ill be replaceing it .

out of interest where did you mount it? as for damage youll probably bust the turbo before anything else goes

anything under 1 bar seems to work "okay". not ideal or the most efficient way to extract more power from the engine but as long as there's enough fuel when on boost then AGUs dont seem to complain too much.

it's novel at first when you're just flooring it, but after a few days of driving it a bit more normally you'll soon realise that it'll be driving like an absolute sack of turd, and you'll remove the valve and wait until you can afford a remap :)

I fitted one to my 1.8 turbo audi and drove it went like the stink but went into limp mode sometime and in 1 drive made the turbo glow very orange took it straight off and mapped it. Then it drove great
