Title: Gin
Post by: scarr89 on 06 November 2012, 22:45
A strange thread I know...but is anyone else 'addicted' to gin? I'm not sure if it healthy to be in love with this type of gin at my age (23) but I literally cannot get enough of the stuff!

Any other ginaholics on here? :lipsrsealed:

Sloe gin...heard about it. Isn't that meant to be even more depressing on a come down than normal gin?  What do you drink it with?

Gin & lemonade/tonic is so tasty and refreshing IMO.

Yep. It's not so much addictivce, but moreish. Other spirits make me feel sick after a bit, but i've never had that with gin.

Bombay Sapphire, Schweppes tonic, 2 ice cubes and a lovely slice of lemon.
It's like being retired.

I love a good g&t, although it goes down dangerously easily! I usually leave the lemon in each time i refill and put in a new slice, that way I can keep track of how many I've had! Problem is the glass usually ends up full of lemon slices

Tanquery or Hendricks is the only real win here... anything else is mediocre in comparison

Gin should be drunk with lime and good tonic, the gin should be poured over ice to chill the spirit before the addition of tonic to taste.

I couldn't agree more. However, try some chopped up strips of cucumber with your Hendricks next time  Give it a good stir and enjoy
