Title: Radio GTD
Post by: jonesltd on 05 November 2012, 11:41
Got the basic stereo non sat nav in my GTD and wanted to get the newer one with sat nav etc (same as my avic f900bt pioneer) but have found this on ebay:

Number: 271092533892

And he said I would be looking at around 1000 from dealer and these are copies but just as good???!!!

Basically all I want it sat nav, decent quality music/sound...oh and for the control to work on the steering wheel. I also have parrot phone in the car.

Is it worth buying? Or if not what else knowning that steering wheel will work etc, I would get the new pioneer but wont work again with steering wheel features.

Thanks

If it is a " copy " I'd personally avoid it like the plague

^This, if you pay £500 for a real one you'll get most of that back when you come to sell plus at least it'll work properly with everything else in the car.

That will be me then
Glad I kept my RCD510 to put back in the car for the trade in rather than trade the car in with the RNS510.
I was sorry to see the unit go as its a nice bit of kit.

Chris just needs Vag.com to code it in properly. I don't suppose anyone is willing to let him borrow theirs or anyone in the Glasgow / Hamilton area able to help him out?

Read the post above mate, he bought it off fellow forum member p3asa.

If you buy one from a dealer it will be in excess of £1000, your best bet is ebay imo.

There is a chap selling a pioneer sat nav all in one upgrade from my current on and wondered if it would work with the steering wheels controls?

Can a pioneer sat nav be wired to the steering wheel controls and still function as the oem one? Fell in love with a pioneer sat nav etc and won't buy it till I know it can be wired up using the steering wheel controls. Pioneer HD1BT
