any1 tell me how to tell which side is which for wishbone ball joints just by looking at them, iv ehm mixed em up :(
-
They have an engraving on the bottom usually 'RM' or 'LM' to designate right and left respectively.
-
mines dont
they look the same from the top apparantly, just when looking from below the balls at a different angle
-
not sure if i can explain this, but the when fitted to the wishbone, the pointy bit will be pointing towards the rear of car rather than front. (top right).
-
Yes it is odd to explain
Those produced by Lemforder (OEM supplier) have it marked. Other suppliers might have omitted this.
I just had a rummage through and I only have one picture that shows my ball joint although I'm not sure if you can make out the pointy end, it's a picture of my n/s though.
