Title: central locking

Ok my central locking stopped working today. Any known problems to go straight for or have i really got to go through all those vacum pipes??

check pump and fuse and mater switch in drivers door then vacum pipes

if the pump is making a noise then WD4- is ya mate spray a mist over the tubes and joints see if youve sprung a leak if not then pumps likely had its day.

Check all your fuses first then start looking inside the drivers door for problems.

you can operate the pump by hand this will tell you if its the pump or the accuator in the door

Without sounding dippy.... mine has packed up as well recently, how can you activate it manually?  :huh:

sorry to hijack :P mine semi-works, albeit very very slowly.  Any ideas?

Sounds like you have a sticky pump sesterfield its in the boot in a polystyrene box have  a look  at it and click the boot catch over and see if it moves freely when you lock the car.
