Title: what would you do?

I have a mk4 Golf 1.8t AUM, its mechanically sound (only done 80k) however the body work is not the best, the arches and sills have rusted and as at one point its been jacked up wrong resulting in collapsed sills.

Basically i may be able to get exactly the same car but 3 door (even same mileage) with a solid body but needs a new engine for cheaper than quotes ive had for what it would cost to fix my current body work issues.

is it worth getting, fitting my engine and selling all duplicate parts to make some of the money back or is it an incredible ball ache?!

Maybe not the knowledge, I have enough to get on with it and theres so much info about. I know i'll have a few head banging moments, but to be honest thats why im kinda attracted to the idea of it to learn some more!!

Haha Thats all the justification I need  :grin: Its got a few mods on it i wanted to do anyway!
