Does anybody know if a cars colour code can be got from a reg number??

Your local VW may be able to.

Have you looked for the sticker inside the boot?

Didn't notice any sticker, where should it be?
The sticker on the belt cover has faded

Under the carpet either in or next to the spare wheel well.

Or as Len said ring your nearest VW dealer and give them the reg.

Its either in the boot or in your service manual for the car, its inside of the cover page of the manual.

Thanks all, sorted now. Just need to find a tailgate now in that colour :sad:
