Title: ALL interior trim
Post by: GTi_James on 31 October 2012, 08:30
morning lads,

need some help with the above, i'm now leaking from the other 4 doors, spare wheel well is bone dry though

i need to know how to remove everything from the car, thats cill trim, interior rear arch trim, pillar trim, center console, glove box and under steering, heated leather seats with air bags, roof lining, floor carpet etc etc, looked on the net and i can see a few ways of removing roof linning. is it easier to work top down? may take this opportunity to install a few interior lights as well and repair the rear passenger lights and sensors

i havent found a thread for all the plastic parts and was wondering if this is a pain?

and the linning under the bonnet, can this be disposed of as it looks quite heavy duty  :undecided:

lining under the bonnet is sound proofing iirc but also doubles up as a heat sheild i belive, the heat could possible ruin your paint work of the bonet if you do long stints of driving?

i ve never had a bonnet lining and i ve never had any issues done lost of long drives aswell so wouldn't worry about it

I'd leave the bonnet lining if I were you, but thats my opinion

cheers guys, might consider lighter heat shielding materials as the stuff weights atleast 2kgs but it will stay put for the time being, and i suppose the woody-like material are all sound proofing etc?
