this problem has stumped I brought car not so long ago and it seemed to have boost problem I could feel it kick then stop then kick in again so got a code reader and yup it came up with 17705 boost leak great so I reset the code as it was they only one that came up took the car for a quick td and it was jerking and I couldn't accelerate so came back disconnected the maf it drives like it did before so I baffled maf was fine before but now not cannot see that resetting a code has caused the maf to be knackered it's and auq if anyone could come to the rescue most appreciated

check breathers, any cracked pipes...can you fit a catchcan in auq? also clean out the throttle body, check your filters and when was the last service?

Pretty sure is a dead maf as apparently the ecu would of made it sort of work with it dead then I ve reset the code and it wants to read it as in it being working lol took me a while

lol definitly a head scratcher, and youve replaced your maf? with oem? and it was running fine when you bought it?

Yup running fine but you could feel the turbo kick in then slightly hold ack and then kick back fitting a boost gauge the weekend to try sort that one out. But the maf yeah definetly got me thinking so going to replace it with an genuine unit tomorrow then check for codes again

Mine had that sort of problem, think it was the n75 valve at fault, spikes early then boosts when needed, so basically it overboosts befor it's ment to :huh: haven't explained well but hopefully u get the gist of it!!!

Did it come up when you scanned it ?

Never scanned it, r tech told me it was at fault when I had it mapped, so when I got back I put a new one on and it's been fine ever since!!

Did boost up to say 22psi then drop to 16 then upto 22 again then back down as that's what's going on with mine now

I had this, it was diagnosed as a faulty DV so I replaced with a 008. It cleared it partially but then returned and held back instead of boosting. Replaced the MAF and its ok ATM.

Yeah I've replaced the DV with the 007 version changed the maf I'm saying its down to the map that's been put on

Your getting 22 psi!!!!??? Wtf!! :huh: your car on a stage 3 map?

Upto 22 then hold 16 same as the golf I had before
