my mates are using plastic covers, sort of like drain pipe, only bigger diameter and a harder plastic so it doesent wear much.

really wanting to give this a go now, might have to get some pipe and wheels and try build one, or see if i can pick one up cheep.

Used to love doing this back in my village in Spain when I was a kid, although down big hills with corners rather than towed behind a car

Would love to do it again, but unless I win the lottery and buy a massive plot of land then I can't think of anywhere I could do it without getting in trouble

We do have some good hills here so should be fun!

This is the rear axle, i basically just chopped off the part of the bike that supports the seat as it was round.

Here is what the wheels will be sitting on, i'm using M8 bolts as they sit snug with the bearings i have from my scooter. A little metal sleeve will added, then a washer and locking nut.

Hopefully should have it all built up today and then i just need some PVC plastic tubing

Was going to be using the wheel that came with it, not sure on the size. Put it all together and it's far too big so will be cutting the front off and welding another smaller one with all the front brake assembly on it already too.

Judging by the fact that looks like a 26'' wheel mountain bike frame and forks I'd definitely say go smaller. I've got a 24'' dirt jump bike I'm gonna hack up. I'll rip the guts out of the suspension fork so it sits lower then see if iI need to reduce  the wheel size from there .
