Title: lowered car failing
Post by: search on 30 October 2012, 13:23
hey can someone advise me please, my car is as low as i can get it on coilovers but after getting stuck on a speedbump i seem to have bent a metal bar that goes from drivers side to passenger side where the mid silencer is, can i mallet this back in to place? or is it structural damage?

That bracket thing saved my life when my exhaust desired to split in half half way to Wales. So mine stays

This.

The bar stops your exhaust from flipping the car if it breaks.....

Mine stays too

Yep,  i don't really fancy my exhaust spearing the road either to be honest.  It stays where VW decided to put it.

Got a modified bracket in my old MK3. New flat bar in there and barely hangs down at all.
