Ok, ive purchased a set of boge turbo shocks with 40mm lowering springs, i tried swapping them over on the weekend and of course my current shocks were a massive pain and i managed to round the allen key on the top of the shock.
my first questions is is there a way of fixing this problem short of welding an allen key/ nut onto it?
Also ive currently got 17" wheels (will be getting rid for some 15's asap) would 40mm cause issues with rubbing?
cheers,
Ben.

Use a pair of large decent Mole Grips around the shaft under the wing, let the grips rotate as you undo the nut with a socket and ratchet, the grips will stop against the body, while you're undoing the nut from above

Or find someone with an electric impact gun and buzz the top nut off.
