ok so 2 days ago i fitted jom coilovers and since then i havent been able to hear the "whooootiiish" sound from my dump valve. Any ideas what could be wrong?

It will have nothing to do with fitting your coilovers.
Aren't dump valves meant to make that kind of noise? :undecided:
-
I would be worried by the fact your sig says 2.0 GTI, this could be why the dump valve is not working
-
Nah i don't use that whip, it's currently for sale...why would i fit coilovers when it's bagged lol

There is no-way that fitting coilovers can be related to you not being able to hear the turbo.....unless of course you've lowered it so much that you've ripped the exhaust off, thus cannot hear anything else!
On a slightly more serious note are you running a recirc valve or a blow-off/dump valve?
