Title: New wheels 10J wheels finally fitted
Post by: scarr89 on 28 October 2012, 12:40
Titles says it all really people.

About to buy some tyres for my new wheels...Just wanting to know if a 235s tread will stick out past the arch. The 225 stretched fine and the tread wasn't over hanging, just wanting to know for sure  :undecided:

If anyone can confirm I'd be very grateful

Cheers for the pic Wes, I'v used the 'tyre calculator' and looked at pictures, just after a definite answer as to weather a 235s tread will sit under the arch  :undecided:

All depends on the offset of the wheels.

10J ET55 with a 15mm adaptor, so ET40.

That is a pic of the last owner running them...Wondering if I could get away with a 235 that is all, who thinks what?  :undecided:

scarr F1's are sh!t for stretching as they have a very ridged tire wall and can pop off the wheel when cornering.

if you want stretch with a decent tire then go for falken's

Defo not F1s, the side wall to hard? Shame...Avon zz3 came of it, they stretched. Falkens just don't get as good rating, hence, IMO why I was opting for a better tyre.

Any other brands you know that will stretch?

The guys at my local protyre got the bead blaster on it and smashed 120psi in the 225 and stretched it over the alloy...piece of cake. Finally got them fitted today...Soo pleased with the look...
