Any suggeations on what i shoud begin with in terms of tuning my gti? Best ways to improve it within a decent budget..

Get the precat out of the exhaust.. Makes a good bit of difference (in my opinion) and the best part, it is free - if you do it yourself!!

Full turbo back exhaust with 100 cell cat, high flow fuel pump and map, should see around 275bhp and can be done for less than £2k

All I'm going to say is take it to R-Tech for a map :afro:

+S3 Intercooler

Cat back exhaust and a map should see close to 260bhp , fuel economy will be similar to stock unless you boot it everywhere !
APR fuel pump is £800 so probably not worth doing unless your going to go the whole way and change turbo/injectors/intercooler

Swap it for an ED30
