Hey guys, after abit of advice, I currently have my iphone 4 on ebay and if it sells I plan to use the money to get myself ether a set of JOM coilovers or a JOM suspension kit. I have found these two listings and wondering if anyone could shed some light on a lowering kit as I havent yet seen these around? Id prefer to have the lowering kit and im told the ride will be more "OEM" in terms of comfort but will op for the Coil overs due to price if there not advised.

I'd be going for the coilovers. To me coilovers that are only down a few threads (30mm drop) are every bit as good comfort wise as springs and shocks. Plus if you ever want to go lower you can.

Coilovers, every time, without question.
Coilovers will only be more harsh if you wind them down crazy low, and with coilovers you can tweak the ride height to exactly where you want it, with a shock / spring kit you're stuck with what you get.

All depends on how low you want the car but coilovers mean you can go lower if you want to in the future.

i made the mistake of buying 40mm springs and wanted to go lower so ended up getting coils just get them first as last

Brillaint feedback so far guys :) well i was thinking about going 40mm all round? Im currently rolling on BBS LM reps (17's) think they are 55 but will have to check. Im using OEM mudflaps so dnt want them to hit the floor plus where i live there are sooooo many sleeping policemen any lower would be a mistake i think. My aim is to be lower so my car sits nicer on my 17's but i dnt really want to loose the comfort ether i am doing the whole i want what cant happen but in sure you understand my meaning? If getting the coilover JOMs mean at 40mm my ride wont differ to much from standard shocks (e.g not really bumpy) then ill go for those. Also i have been reading that is good to change the top mounts while im at it??? My car has recently had new bushes all round for my last MOT so there on but ive hered some people use the term "top mounts and bearings???"
Lastly are the JOMs a nightmare to setup? I dnt want to pay a garage to fit these a i was thinking of having a go myself at fittings them if it ant a massive headace??
Thanks agian for all your input so far its really helping me :)

I went for a 30mm drop on springs, never really thought bout coilovers at the time. If I could go back I'd get coilovers instead. Having said that, the 30mm drop is just enough to make the car look good without compromising ride comfort
