Title: Engine replacement for mk5 gti (axx)
Post by: BigRokx on 25 October 2012, 23:27
Hi guys
The timing belt on my car, snapped whilst driving and as a result i now need a new engine . Ive been searching for a replacement for ages now without any joy. I have found a couple recently though with the BWA code. Can i replace the engine block on with the BWA code keeping existing ancillaries or is that just not goin to work??? Any help would really be apreciated

afaik there shouldn't be a problem using a bwa engine to replace yours.
Be aware that the bwa engine uses a different rail pressure sensor to the aax one.
