hey guys.
i know you can remove the side strips on the mk3 but how i do remove the front and rear strips?
i had a quick look and i cant seem to grasp it. dont want to break anything either.

You mean the door strips? just got to gentley prise them away,you will probably break a few clips anyway

Are you referring to the textured top section of the front and rear bumpers, if so you can't.... Not on standard UK ones anyway.

i managed to remove my front one on my old car, that was a uk car?
rear ones the coloured centre pops out instead

took off car and noticed these little clips thought hmm popped em off and the textured bit came off
did same on rear but it was the whole coloured bit fell off

Yes you are right, some you can and some you cant.

Ah ok then thanks i wont bother i'll just mask up the bumper. sounds more effort than its worth.
need to buy some more clips for the side strips as some snapped off which was inevitable.

Ive got some GL bumpers that come without textured tops but about to change them for proper GTI ones. As far as I can see they look exactly the same as GTI versions but smooth.
