Title: How low can you drop a M3 GTI 16v?
Post by: Steve_GTI_16v on 07 October 2003, 13:49
Hi I need some help, I am about to slam some 16s on my GTI 16v and need help as to how low I can go, I was going to go with Eibech springs and shocks ?440 sports set.

Also does anyone recommend a certain offset or tyre spec for the best handling and least wearing??

Thanks in advance!!

I wouldn't recommend dropping the car more than 40mm.

eibachs sound like a good choice to me, you don't really want to go to low with the roads in the condition that they are in these days. 40mm will still allow you a decent ride and will look tougher than the standard ride height.
