Title: What do I need ??

In my golf my audio system is the factory cd and gamma tape unit but a bloke at work is selling an alpine cd unit but will I have to change the connections to install a after market stereo if so which connections will I need to buy ( I have 0 knowledge about cars )

buy the head unit from your mate - take it to halfrauds and show them the unit and that you have a golf IV and they will get you the right ISO lead, alternatively whip yours out and check the plugs and get the ISO online  :wink:

It should plug straight in without an adaptor lead, most vag stuff is iso as standard.
