3G on my ip5 is good enough for me !
-
the monthly fees aren't too bad the data limits are a joke!
I've done almost 10GB this month already and that's on a 3G / HSDPA network.
-
thats a rip... considering i nearly always have a wifi spot near me i wont be going for one of those tarriffs.
in fact got a deal through from virgin (due to BB account) that unlimited calls + unlimited texts + 1GB data for only 11.99 per month for 6 months and 21.99 per month for the remaining 6 months sounds like a deal

Decisions, decisions shall i swap my unlimited data for 500mb of 4g data.....

£36 a month with a 500mb allowance you could blow in around 1 minute on 4G. OR £10 a month for the unlimited 3G data I have now.
Let me think

i would imagine as competition hots up then the data allowances will soon increase
there is always a premium to pay for being an early adopter and the 4G network is very limited at present, they obviously want to set it up as a premium service at the moment... it has the benefit to the provider that the bandwidth won't be hammered as soon as it is available with too many people using the available cells
as soon as one provider starts undercutting another they will soon come down to much of a muchness
keep calm, carry on

This. What's the point in 4G if you are going to suck up 1GB in a few days or so.
Data caps are going to need to be much more realistic before the more savvy switch.
I can clear a few gigs on 3G in a month without trying.
People will want to use video FFS.

bloke from the BBC hit 56mb/s at the EE store in London on a test run. So effectively he could hit the lowest data allowance in 10 secs lol

That's actually ludicrous!
