Title: Urgent help required. Mk3 gti door trim problem
Post by: arran.concept on 21 October 2012, 14:49
Having bother with refitting my door trim. I have 5 clips all on and lined up but doesn't seem to go far enough into holes to sit nice and flush :( help can't see how to resolve this problem.

if you mean around the sides and bottom then may be one is out of line to the hole as they can move about a bit.

From memory there should be 2 different size clips, the 2 outer clips should have smaller bits that go in the hole and the middle three have a bigger bit sticking out to go in the hole. Hope that makes sense

3 or 5dr?
front or back?
there are 2 different clips that have different depths i think its the rear ones that have all shallow clips and the front has all but 2 deep clips
sounds like you have all deep clips where you need some shallow ones
