Hi guys,
Having blown the head gasket on the mk3 gti I had to get back on the road asap and ended up buying a cheapish MK4 Tdi (V Reg). Generally it seems pretty good all round but having owned it 24 hours I've noticed a few small problems:
1) the boot wont lock with central locking and the key wont even go in the lock! The rear wiper doesn't worrk and nor do the lights in the boot. Could this be the common wire break in top left hand corner. Water spray still works however??
Can the boot be locked any other way from the inside for now (car is in London on street)?
2) the sunroof lifts up and down, but doesn't recline. Any thoughts?
3) Every time I start up the Service Due 'beep' comes on and stops once engine running? Anyway to diasable this or does the Main Stealer have to deactivate?
4) Is it possible to reach the rear sunroof drain nipples  without removing bumber. I 'squeezed' the front ones last night and it they were pXssing like a racehorse! wouldn't mind giving the rear ones a squeeze. thoughts?
Sorry I expect this has been covered in various threads but got limited access to internet and really want to get sorted before weather gets worse.
Thanks for any help you can give.

i think your cars crying for attention, breakers for a new motor for your sun roof, the boot i recon you should get smoothed out, for the price of what it would probably cost to fix you would have a car that looks better, drop a custom build sound system in the boot and add your own light

as for the service warning:-
1. put key in ignition at postion 0 (everything off)
2. hold in button which is used to reset milage trip counter
3. while holding in trip counter button switch on ignition, but do not start engine
4. release trip counter reset button
5 turn clock set button to the right for 1 second max
6. release clock set button and turn ignition off, remove key, then replace key and switch on ignition and check the service light has gone out
