I've read the guide
http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=212007.0
And posted on topic but says the thread is to old to post ,
The cahoots says he used 3 and half pucks . How do you get the half cut accurately ? And the photo doesn't show where it goes / clear set up.
And are 3x1 " pucks correct to use ?
-
Got the answer on splitting the puck .
Any ideas on the rest ...
-
Fairly clear in the guide dude. The 2 1/2 pucks are used to replace the inside "swiss cheese" piece of rubber and then one more puck on the underside of the front subframe with the large original washer.

Typical. People don't like reading instructions.
-
Pucks are standard size no? 1" is what he used

I've ordered 5. Going to use 4 for extra stiffness.
How much did you pay for 5 and where did you buy from ?
-
eBay pack of 5 for £10
-
Extra stiffness isn't necessarily a good thing. Dash starts to vibrate.
-
3.5 it is then
And ebay, 5 for 10.75 I think.
-
Fitted today took no more than 15mins to do
Used 2 pucks then the rubber support then half a puck on the bottom with the washer as I thought any more pucks would be to stiff so used some of the old mount
Works a treat no excessive engine movement anymore
I have got a spare puck and a spare half if anyone needs them (pre drilled ) means you only need one from eBay to make a mount up that's not going to rattle your dash to death .

Tshirt knows :afro:

Had the puck set up in not even a month and today going down the road the mount lower bolt vibrated lose and the puck on the bottom fell out !
After much searching in the dark and starting to snow .... I found the puck and washer but no bolt
Anyone know the lower bolts dimensions?
Need one ASAP
cheers guys and girls
