Alright boys and girls.
Got hold of a couple of US bits, one being the center console. From the handbrake back (rear cup holder arm rest ect). Came with the bracket and screws as well as the boot pop plug. Does anyone know where i can source a hand brake gaitor that will fit it?
Can imagine it will look fairly plain with the standard plastic cover over the hand brake.
Done a quick search for the boot pop aswell. Need to buy a boot pop off eBay and wire it into the oem button. Think it was Thaiwronghorse that said hes also got it, If you read this bud what did you end up doing?
Cheers

hand break gaitor youl have to get from the US as they dont sell them over here.
For the button, you can wire it up to a boot popper (i did this) just use spade connectors on the button, one is earth, one is light, middle one is for illumination. easy enough to do.

If i were to fit one of these could i not use my anniversary handbrake?

I`m not 100% but the gaiters look the same as the highline golf /vento gaiter which has the bigger rear console

Nice one bud, ill look into it.

Decent handbrake US gaitors are a bloody nightmare to source, i had several that weren't happy with and refused to pay silly money for one. I've currently got a modified highline gaitor on my mk3.5 cabrio handbrake lever. I took the UK highline leather off its plastic ring and stapled and glued it to a US plastic ring so it would attach to the US centre console.
As for the boot pop, originally i had planned on going down the same route as Gash but due to the fact i didn't end up delocking the boot plinth i didn't bother in the end as i use the boot frequently getting the pushchair in and out so wanted ease of use. Il probably link the boot pop button up as some sort of amp/ sub power switch when i can be arsed...

Cheers for that. I dont have the US plastic clip in ring part though. Nightmare.
If you know of any about let me know. Ill keep looking though.
