Title: My idea for a cold air intake...
Post by: gizago on 17 October 2012, 22:45
Not sure if this has been done before, i've never seen it, but it seems a pretty obvious mod. I took a 2 lamp grille, and a 4 lamp grille, chopped out the same section from each, bonded it back together, a quick rub down and rattle can job, and voila, a 3 lamp grille.

I will have a short length of large diameter aluminium hose inside to direct the air straight from the lamp hole to the air filter.

Generally people just remove the spot lights from a 4 lamp grill and use that, much less hassle and effort. As you say, it has been done plenty before, mostly on the track day cars, or 1/4 mile sprinters, road use is pointless really.

Well done though.
