Title: Throttle issue
Post by: Gash on 17 October 2012, 12:36
thought would post on here as need some info and help.

just done a conversion into a mk3 golf using an AGU from a a3.
the ecu im using is an unlocked one from a mk4 golf.

drove it home fine yesterday with no issues. i disconnected the battery to do some wiring and when i started back up it started great but wont let me rev past 2500, and then the revs will drop to 1000 (idle speed)

i try and pull off but its not letting me move.

tried doing a throttle alignment using the door open technique (not sure if that works with mine due to it being a mk3)

is it just a case of getting someone who has vagcom to do a alignment on it? or is there other issues?

sounds like limp mode that......

You shouldnt have to do a throttle realinment, it does it itself, did you clean the TB? the build oup of crap can cause the spindle to stick
