So yeah, I am rather confused as my Golf has a switch for the fog lights but there's no fogs in the front nor is there wiring from what I can see but there's a fuse in the fusebox at the 10 slot for Foglights too..
Where's the logic in that? :undecided:

All cars need rear fog light.
-
But there's no rear foglight, when I turn the fogs on, no light at the back turns on yet all the bulbs work..
-
Thats a rear fog light switch and needs to work for mot you need the drivers rear fog light to work at least :-)
-
If its not coming on then its a bulb.
Only the driver rear light will get brighter.
At night reverse park up close to a wall or anything, then put fog light on and off while looking in mirrors to see if it gets brighter.
It has to have one for MOT so its obvious its got one.

Well I am in South Africa, we don't have an MOT of sorts, just a "roadworthy" test you need to do when purchasing a car, and they're extremely slack when testing things like lights.
-
Oh I didn't see that!
So what's the problem then?
-
I was just wondering since my friend had the same year Mk3, same model and all and his had the wiring loom for the front fogs yet mine doesn't.
Although I still don't think the rear fogs work, is it the rear light that is meant to go brighter with the fog switch turned on?
-
Fogs are a optional extra. My gti has fogs, heated leather, and air con. All extras.
You only have rear fog that all golfs have.
Rear driver side light should be brighter when fog is turned on.

It will cost something rediculous to get that to South Africa..
