Title: Throttle body alignment
Post by: Gash on 16 October 2012, 22:32
Basically i did a conversion using a agu from a a3 and put it in my mk3 golf.
But used the ecu from a mk4 as it was already unlocked.
Drove it home great and all worked fantastic.
I disconnected the battery how ever when i got home as i had to do some wiring inside and then when i went to restart it, it started fine but now wont let me rev past 2k... so believing this is because the throttle body needs realignment?
Im how ever unable to move it to take it to a vag specialist and i dont have vag com either...

am i able to use the throttle body off the car that i had the ecu from and use that so im able to drive to a garage to get it aligned or will i have to get someone to come to me/
or is there anyway i can get it to align itself etc?
thanks

Dont you have to turn your ignition on for 30 mins and it aligns its self ? might be talking $hit though lol

from what iv read on the net its 2 minutes on ignition 2nd position, then start it up. i dont hear any noise coming from the throttle body though.

Im likely to be needing to be doing this myself as im half way through my conversion
