Title: loud engine !

Oks got a question about the loudness of my Golf for as long as i can remember the engine in my Golf its the baby TDi ARG 90 on a W plate. Its loud as in tappaty, not rattlely or anything just when ideling sounds quite loud to me no like overly loud just loud ( i am explaining this well lol) but then i remember its a old under powered Diesel lol.

So is this normal for that engine? or is it worth looking in to

proberbly normal mate realy. as u say its an oldish diesel.
my vectra diesel had done 90k when i got it and every1 said how quite it was but by the time i god rid of it with 110k it sounded like a tank lol.

Thanks thought so its pushed 170k :smiley: so its had a fair bit of usage lol

lol Would love more power to but no cash atm, looking for a new job so i have spare cash to spend on a new car, but think next car has to be a audi estate or passat estate as got a lot of love for them, but until all old girl dies i am stick with it lol
