Title: Brakes and Pads
Post by: papperbear on 12 July 2005, 18:03
Just bought me self a lovely pair of EBC brake discs (see link below), also went for the Green Stuff brake pads.  All arrived hunky dory and fitted ok ... but they seem to be making a noise every time the pad goes over the groove.  Is this a normal kind of thing for grooves and dimpled discs?  Its kind of annoying so I hope its something that wears off.  Done about 300 miles at the weekend - went to Shell Island in Wales (very cool place)  Burnt to buggery now!!

It would appear so . I have EBC 280mm combies with Green Stuff pads and they make a slight noise though it has reduced slightly over time .
The brakes are exellent in opperation
The shop were I bought them said that it was normal . He had drilled and grooved on his G60 GOLF which sounded the same  :undecided:

Has/ Does anyone else experienced this???
