Post by: MS1COYS on 14 October 2012, 22:29
Okay so it's not strictly VW, but I saw this monster and got the ball and chain to take a few snaps....

It was being trailed by a red RS4 estate. It sounded like an absolute hoot!

i sooooo would like one, there's a couple on pistonheads for around 30k, as with the one in your pics they are not factory but dialynx conversions, even tho i would still have one given the money

It really was impressively fast and just sounded like a rocket. 70mph to 120mph was just over in the blink of an eye!

I think they're worth about £30k, or so Pistonheads would have you believe.

My old boss used to have one when I was an apprentice. Just a normal UR 20v. Used to take it out on the twisty back roads when he wasn't there . They are certainly unique cars, nothing feels the same to drive.

They are sex on wheels.

When I win the lottery I'm buying at least 5 of them.

I know Hamish who owns the white one on the front of this months PVW, a 700bhp monster!

He put it on a dyno a few weeks ago, but the car was too short to run 4WD. He disabled the front diff so it was RWD only and ended up bending a driveshaft 90 degrees

A genuine swb Sport is around £100k these days, standard UR is £10k and up to around £25k
