I'm looking for a new car and I found a mk4 agu on eBay 2000 reg same as my old one but apparently it is standard with 180bhp now I didn't think any agu was standard 180 bhp anyone say anything different ?

i think ive seen the one you on about and it isnt standard as he says it is its had a uprated turbo in it k03s with k04 internals :)

i emailed him and he replied saying its the late 2000 model which come as 180bhp standard though

well it say this

'REMOVED THE K03 TURBO WHICH IS A WEAK POINT AND REPLACED WITH NEW K03S WITH K04 INTERNALS MAKING IT VERY STRONG.'

so in essance it would pump out 180 but but then it would still need a remap. it aint standard, and lads on here fork out a fair few quid to get this mod

good deal if you ask me..... get it  :evil:  :laugh:

yeah i had a k03s of a vrs on mine lol but he was determined it was 180 bhp standard lol ill copy the email he sent back

All AGUs were 150bhp, only the late AUQ was 180.

Easy to say it has K04 internals when you can't check. Sounds like he's read it on a forum and thought it would be a good selling point. The fact he's trying to sell an AGU as 180bhp standard means he either got sold it with that info or he's pulling a fast one.

I'm guessing he doesn't have much knowledge of them, and by putting the ko3s from a 180hp car on his, automatically makes his 180hp too.

This is obviously incorrect.
