Hi everyone,im new to the site and modifiying cars,this is the second mk3 golf gti 8v ive had,love it to bits and take care of it very well :)
When i got the car it already had private plates,coilover suspension,pipercross panel filter,ashley rear exhaust box.
Ive fitted 600w infinity reference 6x9 parcel shelf speakers,alpine head unit..
swapped and replaced a few bits of interior from my old red golf so the black golf is very clean inside now :)
replaced rear lights with rare red /crystal clear new ones,crystal side repeaters and fitted xenon super white headlight / spot bulbs.
the car jus came out the garage the other day as it needed a new rocker cover gasket,end of gearbox re-sealed and topped up,and exhaust adjusting cause it was rattling.all fixed now so im happy,it cost me £80 for all that :) :) :)
there is a bit more i would like to do to the car,such as decat pipe,new rims and tyres but was thinking of getting the originals powder coated in white or alloy,maybe infinity reference sub and amp,engine strut,new pipe set...
any questions,advice or info welcome,thanks for your time ')

Nice clean car i love black 3 door gti's, could do with a shorter tailpipe imo :smiley:

Not a fan of the mudflaps or the rear lights but the rest is really nice, good basis for a project.

the back lights are new and are not being replaced but when i bought them i was stuck between them and the black smoked ones,tailpipe is a bit long,might be getting sorted when i decat.

As above really bud, not a fan of the 'rare' rear lights. The smoked standard GTI ones are alot better. The exhaust looks a bit on the wonk, which would annoy me but apart from that it looks pretty clean dude. Doesnt seem to have a sunroof either which alot more people prefer over the sunroof models.
I wouldn't go mad with the engine to be fair, if you want it looking nice strip it down clean, repaint and tidy it all up would look tonnes better. And maybe save you a bit of cash aswell

i like the first pic but again not a fan of the lights..they stand out a bit too much against the black paint.

Hella 'reds' seem to work well on black cars.

White longbeaches work well on a black car :wink: but not at 4x4 height :whistle:

Set of standard GTI lamps would looks loads better.

I would donate a set of mint GTI rear lamps to stop the cruelty to your golf,
on condition that you smashed those "rare" (because nobody else was blind enough to buy them clear ones) with a 14lb sledge hammer!!!
Looks a nice clean car that!
An 6x9's in the parcel shelf should have died in the 90's it managed to live as long as max power did but they should be buried with that god awful chavtastic craze!! :wink:

heres some new mods,its been de-flapped,debadged and little then ive sprayed vw badges same colour as car,diamond black,removed rear wiper,and added a vr6 spiltter,think thats it?....tell me what u think,still got a lot to do and a lot to resolve plus things are getting worse as ive now got a leak come down my front windscreen inside but not sure where it exactly it is coming from atm, i have damp marks on the before perfectly gud roof lining :angry: bit depressing...

Looking better but front bumper lights need smoking & as previously said remove them rear lights for some gti lights or hella reds also if you can keep the falps & drop it abit :cool:

thinking about going back to original hellas as im having fog problems with these rear lights,forgot to mention that ive upgraded to bosch aero wipers on the front,much better i think

back lights and tailpipe look hideous
