Title: Another Power Steering topic!!
Post by: Gtiscotty on 13 October 2012, 13:22
Hi

I was wondering if anybody has a complete list of parts I need to convert my mk2 gti into power steering. I have heard that getting the rack from a mk3 is the assets but what else do I need?
Also if there is anyone around that could help me do the job that would be great but I kind of live in a small village so finding someone around here could be a problem lol.

I kind of like the way the car feels without power steering especially driving down the country roads but my wife hates it and we have reached an agreement that if I get power steering fitted she will let me buy a 20v turbo engine for it  :D

Any help/advice would be great thanks

rack, pump, brackets and pipes off a mk2 with PAS is easyest.

pritty much just spinning spanners to do.   most ballache can be the pullys iirc
